The Summer Slide

What is the "Summer Slide"?

​"Summer Slide" is a term that is used to describe the phenomena of students "sliding" backwards and dropping up to THREE reading levels during summer break. This unfortunate event occurs when students do not continue reading when school is dismissed for the summer months. The slide is totally preventable and Clark Educational Consulting has created a checklist for you to follow to help your scholar maintain proficiency in reading year-round.
